Network 2025: Promoting cross-border cooperation for a sustainable future
Welcome to Network 2025, an initiative by Green Habito to strengthen and empower civil society organisations (CSOs) in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Our mission is to promote sustainable lifestyles, green growth and empower CSOs to build a greener future. Through a series of trainings, study visits and a sustainability conference, we aim to create a robust network of organisations committed to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Key activities
- Local workshops to discuss how CSOs can effectively contribute to the Nordic vision of Agenda 2030.
- International trainings and study visits:
– Helsinki, Finland (June 2025): Kick-off meeting and training focusing on sustainable lifestyles, digitalisation and the Nordic Sustainable Economy.
– Reykjavik, Iceland (August 2025): Training on responsible consumption, green transition and capacity building for civil society organisations.
– Copenhagen, Denmark (November 2025): Study visits and training on communication, networking and policy-making.
- Nordic Sustainability Conference 2026 (Oslo, Norway): A 3-day conference with discussions, workshops and presentations of project results to raise awareness about sustainable living and the need to change consumption patterns.
Expected outcomes
- Increased collaboration: Strengthened network of civil society organisations working for sustainable development.
- Knowledge sharing: Exchange of best practices and innovative solutions between Nordic and Baltic CSOs.
- Capacity building: Increased skills and knowledge of CSO leaders and community members on sustainable practices and policy-making.
- Youth Empowerment: Increased participation and influence of young people in community decision-making processes.
This initiative is in line with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Vision 2030 by promoting sustainable living and Nordic core values. It empowers civil society organisations and communities to be more sustainable and provides them with the tools and knowledge to work effectively with local governments and other stakeholders.
We are committed to environmental, economic and social sustainability. Our activities focus on reducing our environmental footprint, promoting green solutions, and addressing social issues such as poverty, gender equality, and access to education and healthcare.
We will use various channels, including social media, e-newsletters and local media, to disseminate information about our activities and results. Our project website will provide educational materials, personal stories and interviews to reach a wide audience.
We invite you to join us in this journey towards a sustainable future.
