Event: The Nordic-Baltic Taste Award 2024
Type: Cooking competition for national teams
Participants: Young people from invited delegations
Team Composition: 4 team members + 1 jury member
Team Preparation
- Recipe Proposal: Teams must propose recipe books/traditional and innovative recipe ideas.
- Menu Requirements: Each team will prepare a three-course menu consisting of: Starter, Main Meal and Dessert
Competition Structure
Cooking Competition: Teams will compete to prepare their proposed three-course menu.
Evaluation: Each meal will be evaluated by an independent jury composed of one representative from each country and two independent experts.
Judging Criteria
- Taste and Flavor: Balance and harmony of flavours.
- Presentation: Visual appeal and creativity.
- Innovation: Use of traditional and innovative elements.
- Technique: Cooking skills and methods used.
- Sustainability: Use of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients.
Awards and Prizes
- First Place: Gift card for four people (an international trip for a group to the Sustainable Development Conference and Study Trip in 2024) equivalent to €800.
- Second Place: Gift card for four people (an international trip for a group to the Media Literacy and Communication Conference in 2025) equivalent to €500.
- Third Place: Gift card for four people (memorable books and gifts) equivalent to €500.

- Participation Certificates: All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
- Future Opportunities: Participants will be invited to join future youth leadership programs.
